Overall Purpose of the Role:
The Accounts Assistant will provide comprehensive support for the Accounts and Finance team.
They will establish excellent working relationships with other departments within Strata and ensure they have all relevant financial information in order to complete day-to-day duties and smooth operation of the business.
They will play a pivotal role within the Accounts and Finance team by following up on supplier queries, ensuring issues are addressed and resolved in a timely manner. They will also assist with any other ad hoc tasks as required by the Finance Director and Transactional Finance Manager to assist in the general running of the department.
Responsibilities of the Role:
- Process invoices for the company and manage the process
- Be accountable for the management of processing
- Managing work allocation within the team
- Problem resolution within the team.
- Being point of call for finance issues within the team
- Manage month end process
- Manage supplier relationships effectively
- Working as required to achieve company goals.
- Support the team as required and perform any other duties
- Assisting with the monitoring of the accounts inbox.
Qualifications:
Essential
- Highly numerate with efficient administration talent.
- Computer literate with good understanding of Microsoft
- Ability to compile and analyse statistical information.
Desirable
- Familiar with accounting software such as Sage, Evision etc.
- Previous experience in a similar role
Skills and Experience:
- Excellent telephone manner and customer service attitude.
- Detail-oriented with superior accuracy skills.
- Able to prioritise own workload.
